SIGNS THAT YOU NEED TO REPLACE YOUR ROOF, SIDING OR WINDOWS
When should you consider replacing your roofing?
You will want to consider replacement of your roof system if you observe any of the following conditions:

- Missing granules
- Curling shingles / shakes
- Rotting shingles / shakes
- Missing shingles / shakes
- Damaged flashing
- Water ponding on low slope areas
- Moss or algae growth
- Moisture collection in your attic
But remember, not all problems may be visible, so it is best to have an inspection done when you think your roof may be reaching the end of its serviceable life.
Ventilation – Proper ventilation is important in any roofing system, moving hot air outside of the attic and keeping moisture to a minimum during the winter months. If you have noticed a swelling in the roof deck, mold or mildew in your attic or ice dams during the winter months, then you may have a ventilation problem that needs to be addressed. All of our roofing systems adhere to Maryland Building Codes, which dictate the need for an equal balance between the area of your attic and the amount of soffit and ridge ventilation in your home.
